Partner and Senior Wealth Advisor - Coral Gables

I am the CEO and Co-Founder of Azzendo Wealth Advisors, where my primary responsibilities include practice management and corporate strategy, setting investment policy and wealth planning responsibilities for high-net-worth clients. I have worked in the financial services industry for over 28 years, developing experience that allows me to guide clients through complex financial decisions with confidence and clarity. My role encompasses both the strategic vision for our firm and the hands-on wealth management that directly impacts our clients' financial success.

I specialize in our strong niche of working with women in life transitions, specifically widows and divorcees who in many cases have had limited experience in managing their own financial affairs. I am passionate about serving these women because they have previously felt ignored or not engaged in the process with other advisors. We take pride in helping these women feel empowered, educated, and confident. We also have extensive experience working with corporate executives with complex compensation models and concentrated stock positions. I love the energy that is generated with a client when we are mapping out their goals, drawing up a concrete plan to help them achieve those goals, and then effectively executing to make sure those goals are met and managed.

What motivates me is having a direct and positive impact in the lives of my clients, bringing them clarity and instilling a sense of trust and confidence in all of their money matters. I love guiding clients through the different and unique stages of their lives and their dynamic goals. We see ourselves as "partners" in our clients' wealth building "enterprise," multi-generational wealth planning and legacy. I love seeing their goals reached and in many cases exceeded, and watching them feel empowered in their financial success and security. I love collaborating with my team, sharing ideas, and coordinating with my clients' other professionals – accountants, attorneys, insurance agents – serving as point person across these professions to establish that my clients' needs are being met on a global, holistic basis.

Raised in both Miami and Denver, Colorado in a first-generation Hispanic family, I currently live in Miami with my wife, Karla, and together we have five children. I have parents that I honor and safeguard as they age, and providing for and protecting my family motivates me every day. I choose to live an honest, honorable life where I can be an example to my children, embodying hard work, personal growth, intellectual development, social justice, spiritual nourishment, and the pursuit of passion and joy in this human experience. Outside of the office, I am the Co-Chair of the Endowment and Investment Committee for The Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida and currently serve as a Board Member of SAVE, a South Florida LGBT Advocacy Organization. I have previously served on boards for the Financial Planning Association of Miami-Dade, NAPFA Southeast Region, and the Greater Miami Estate Planning Council. In my free time, I love the beach – it's my happy place to restore my energy, commune with nature and reflect on what matters most in life. I also take great joy in singing, cooking, traveling, and volunteering for organizations near and dear to my heart, often hosting karaoke/dinner parties at home with family and friends.
