Research Driven and Tax Aware Strategies Built to Meet Your Financial Goals

Investment Philosophy
A Disciplined Framework For Managing Wealth

We believe successful investing begins with a clear understanding of what your capital is intended to accomplish. At Azzendo, portfolio strategy is developed within the context of your broader financial life, including your goals, liquidity needs, tax profile, time horizon, risk capacity, and estate considerations.

Our investment approach is grounded in disciplined asset allocation, broad diversification, tax awareness, cost efficiency, and ongoing risk management.

Diversification and Asset Allocation

Diversification and Asset Allocation

We view asset allocation as the foundation of portfolio construction. Portfolios are designed to diversify risk across asset classes, sectors, and geographies maintaining appropriate liquidity and alignment with your long-term objectives.

We monitor allocations over time and rebalance when appropriate, considering market conditions, taxes, and transaction costs.

Different assets serve different purposes. Some support near-term spending, others long-term growth, retirement income, legacy goals, or charitable objectives. Understanding those priorities helps us determine not only how much risk you are willing to take, but how much risk you actually need to take.

Evidence Over Prediction

We do not believe long-term investment success depends on consistently forecasting markets, interest rates, or short-term economic events. Instead, our process is informed by capital-market research, valuation, diversification, and expected risk and return.

Each investment is evaluated in the context of the portfolio as a whole, including its role, cost, tax efficiency, liquidity, transparency, and contribution to overall risk.

Tax-Aware Investing

For affluent investors, after-tax outcomes matter. We consider asset location, realized gains and losses, portfolio turnover, tax-loss harvesting opportunities, charitable strategies, and withdrawal sequencing as part of the investment process.

Taxes should not drive every decision, but they should rarely be ignored.

Discipline Through Market Cycles

Markets will experience periods of both optimism and stress. Our role is to help maintain discipline through changing environments and to make portfolio changes when warranted by fundamentals, valuation, financial circumstances, or long-term objectives—not by headlines alone.

Investment Management Within a Broader Wealth Strategy

Investment decisions often affect taxes, retirement income, estate planning, charitable goals, and the transfer of wealth. That is why we view portfolio management as one part of a broader financial strategy.

At Azzendo, the goal is not simply to manage investments. It is to build and maintain a portfolio designed to support your financial life with greater clarity, discipline, and purpose.

Custody of Client Assets

Custody of Client Assets

Our client assets are primarily held at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. who serves as the primary custodian. In addition, we also help manage the assets of clients who have 401(k) or 403(b) accounts at various other custodians.

We never assume a full power of attorney over our client’s accounts, instead we have a limited power of attorney to trade and make client approved changes and requests. We serve as a fiduciary advisor on every client account, meaning we will always do what is in the best interest of the client.

Using Charles Schwab & Co., Inc as primary custodian, Azzendo Wealth Advisors has access to a wide range of products and support to help investors reach their financial goals, including:

           - Full range of investment strategies and trading services
          - Technology and service support
          - Safeguards designed to protect assets
          - Strict ethical business practices

As a fee-only firm we do not sell any products, nor do we receive any type of compensation from any firm, including Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. This relationship simply allows us to track your investment accounts on a daily basis and provides you with increased privacy and security.

Investment Selection

We take an open-architecture approach to portfolio construction, selecting investments based on their role within your overall strategy rather than allegiance to any particular product or provider. Each investment is evaluated within the context of the broader portfolio, including its expected return, risk characteristics, liquidity, tax efficiency, cost, transparency, and diversification benefits. The result is a portfolio designed with purpose—not a collection of investments.

We are not tied to proprietary products or a single investment approach. Depending on your goals, tax profile, liquidity needs, risk tolerance, and overall financial plan.

We utilize a wide range of investments in our client portfolios including but not limited to:

Institutional Funds

Index Funds

Exchange Traded Funds

Alternative Investments

Individual Stocks

Bonds

Azzendo Wealth Advisors generally requires a minimum of $1,500,000 to open and maintain an account. This account minimum may be waived for clients who anticipate adding additional funds to the account in the near future. For accounts that do not meet the minimimum size requirement, the annual fee will be set at 1.50% subject to a $10,000 minimum annual fee.

Azzendo Wealth Advisors allows the accounts for members of the same household to be combined for fee paying purposes.
